And now she is one!
I can't believe it's been a whole year. And in many ways, I can't believe it's only been one year.
Poor Ella is still suffering with a chest infection but she knew something was going on. Lots of people, presents and cake. Quite a lot of cake! She did her best to be her happy self, but she wasn't really in the mood for it (don't think I got a single smiley picture of her all day...)
I decided a few weeks ago to make her a birthday cake and had the idea in my head for a stack of baby blocks spelling out her name... When it came to it (3 days before the day and in between going to work and getting the house sorted for guests) I simplified the idea and changed it to just one baby block (very grateful to myself for giving her a short, 4 letter name at this point!). And I also knew there would be elephants....
Baby girl got lots of wonderful presents from lots of wonderful people....
Shoes from mummy
Glo-worm from mummy and daddy
The beautiful cupcakes were from the Airyfairy cake boutique and went down a treat.
Cuddles with cousin Issi
Gifts from Granny
Rosie doll from Grandad which she loves - hair like labels!
New trick - look no hands!
Bubbles (Thank you Tom & Vicki!)
Her very own birthday cupcake, complete with candle
Bubble fun (and almost a smile!)
She is eventually feeling better (3 trips to the Dr and 2 antibiotics later....)
Baby girl suddenly has curls...
So here's to our girl, now you are one!
